1.
:: THIS IS NOT A WHITE FLAG :: To carry or start burning whats held deep inside This king of man will revolt,he will just destroy, just destroy We'll never bow or call to you. "On his robe and on his thigh he has the name, King of Kings and Lord of Lords" I'm not afraid of ten thousand enemies they move with empty hearts I'm not afraid of ten thousand men they will never shake this faith And these men will chant to themselves: "there is no god" with each word, you march further into the ground. The wicked have drawn back their bows we charge unarmed into their shadows.
2.
:: SHADOW OF LOVE :: Circling desperate to take what is left. Wearing tracks were you wander, searching for your heart. You hide when daybreak spills. Come up and gasp for air, wake up and stand a son. You've walked this path for far too long, You've lost your name. You've walked this path for far too long, You've lost your way. What is there to show, but weakness. Where is beauty in this disease. What is there to show, but weakness. Where is beauty in this wretched disease. You cant find love in empty caskets, You cant find love in all these strange eyes. JUST WALK AWAY TOWARDS GRACE DONT FEEL SHAMED This is, salvation.
3.
:: INSTRUMENTAL ::
4.
:: THIS GUN IS FOR HIRE :: On the chance of getting out, we're not waiting for the day To approach as we slowly near the end. I'd rather crawl, blinded by the light of the Son, than walk in the dark of this world. Going back and forth I struggle To find a beauty you cannot see. These hands used to scorn are here to receive. All alone, I can't be all alone.

about

TSAU002

City of Gates were a Durban based hardcore band, who formed in February 2008 and enjoyed a very short, yet fun spell in the hey-day of South African Hardcore, calling it a day on May 16th 2009, with members relocating. Lasting just over a year, the group of 5 young guys put out a completely DIY EP, as well as hitting South Africa's major cities on tour as often as possible.

You may have seen them on line-up’s alongside Crossingpoint, Go! Go! Bronco, Straatligkinders, Truth and it’s Burden and Yes Sir! Mister Machine. City of Gates were also selected to open for Haste The Day on the Durban leg of their South African tour, as well as sharing the stage with other international artists such as CDC.

Lineup:

Dustin Holmes : Vocals
Nick Ferreira : Guitar
Alan Muller : Guitar
Keagan van Rooyen : Bass
Andrew Carrie : Drums
